Wow, that is a great skill to have! I can do a basic French braid, but that is it. I am sure that if I put my mind to it, I could make extra money baking cakes or other things. I made my son's wedding cake and it came out pretty good. I one day hope to take a course in cake decorating to refine my skills.

Even if you don't take an official course, you could look into some decorating magazines or books. They have loads of great ideas in there. Cake Create is a good place to start. My mother did wedding cakes and event cakes that turned out beautifully and she made a nice profit from it. She ended up having too much business, so she hired my younger sister and myself, lol. i am always looking for ways to make momey. at this point i am selling purses also. its kind of fun. there are a million ways to make money.. you just have to do it! ambition and drive are what motivates me, i love a challenge, and i like to pay my bills and have fun. no sitting on my butt thats for sure. i do also work full time. In the USA the only reason you are poor, is becasuse your too busy feeling sorry for yourself! be inventive, and just do it..!!!

Some people work and work and still are poor.Employers need to pay people more. The cost of living is so high its ridiculous.Gas prices are just out of control, food, clothes and all.I work full time and thats exactly why im braiding hair on the side as my extra income.

That's true; I've got two full-time jobs and one part-time, yet I still have my side hustles. Before I found out I was having my son, I worked as a "clean" escort and resold knives during college. Now I still buy, sharpen and sell knives, along with my original spa and aromatherapy items. Throw in a little massage therapy, facials, and makeup application, and I've got a decent amount of pocket change. Baby's never cold or hungry, and that's what matters, right? Blessed Be

I don't really have any special skills, but I know you can make good money braiding hair. My cousin in New York started braiding hair as a teenager. She was hired by Macy's in Manhattan. She met some famous clientel there. She now braids hair for celebrities and they fly her all over the world for her services. So you can actually make big time money braiding hair. Lloyd

I admire anyone who has a talent and is not afraid to put it to use, disvachic. You do a really good job of braiding. Two of my daughters have this skill and make a nice little chunk of change also. I used to do hair when I was younger, but that was many years ago. I have other skills, but I don't market them.

I sell on e-bay to make extra money (mainly for holidays) - but that's online of course. One thing that is good is to put away the money from making savings on your groceries, etc. So if the store has "Buy one get one free" - I put the money in a jar. I also put the money in the jar for using discount coupons. If I don't do that i can't see that i am saving money. Since January we save about $200 doing this and now we are going to spend the money on a meal in a top restaurant - we wouldn't have been able to afford such a treat otherwise

i like to do teaching online what is my plan havent startde yet, and also in US there is plenty of possibilites to make extra, like when I was there i used to buy many mail-in-rabe free stuff and making good money on ebay. i even used to buy things on ebay and amazon and sell in my community. Sometime from shop on some extra rebate and keep it in home, and resell again when there is no more sale on that item. In Uk still I am trying to find something good as there is no such mail in rebate free thigs and so much sale on marchendise. I still hope will get something eventually

I work full-time and i'm a single mom to a 15 month old so I don't have time for much else but I recently started selling Avon products. It's not a huge chunk of money but it helps a little.
