How's that for a catchy title?
Since it is Sunday I'd like to open with how many people have become writing slaves? If you are writing for yourself or writing for someone else you are probably a writing slave, what motivates a person to write? What are some of the talents that you as a writer have that make you worth the money they pay you to write? Are you a paid writer? What about the biblical term having your name written into the book of life? How does reading enter into being a good writer. What is a model for your writing? Have you found other writers better than you? Who is your inspiration for writing and do you feel like a GOD when you have a blank page infront of you? Skills get you into the book of life, one might have the skill of painting, maybe one paints pictures or tells stories the tools of the trade are many, you can use visuals, or you can suggest with words, we are all craftsmen equal in our abilities, together we create our future. How can you measure the value of another person's work?
The path to true freedom is found in breaking ground and setting free those around you to release the chains that have bound us and prevented us from living full and complete lives.
Another creation of the GOD is children, families to share with, building support groups and finding a home.
What inspires you to write? Has there been a tradgic event that changed you whole life and your dreams?
When you see something that you know can be useful for everyone following behind do you try to work it out and then share your gift with the rest of the world?
What gift do you have to share?

That title could get it deleted or in the radar of the rogue ones that squash all that is religious.
I am given the ability to write and am not a slave. I use it as expression at Mylot and do not allow the unfairness to taint my abilities. Helium is an aside. I make a bit without doing much at all. That makes it fun.
Associated Content also is another outlet and one that can pay me what I am worth. Good to add to a portfolio to showcase my abilities to get a better job, freelance or not. I write when I have time, am so moved to do so and also when called upon. I have a full real world life and that is balance when teamed with the writing on line.
Blogging also is an ongoing expression and hope for helping others, sharing and maybe making some cash also.
This is just one thing I am able to do and now with working a temporary agency I can express another side of me. I am truly free indeed since I have lost my worldly belongings and can be true to myself. That is how I am free to help others in any way that is presented to me.

Hi Willowlady,
Thanks for stopping by reading and writing, yes that is quite a title, Imagine, writing GOD for the freedom of life and the gift that chains you to words to help others get free...
Just another perspective... You know words have many meanings and if you miss the nuiances and the inteded inflections the story could have a different meaning than intended. I love when someone is thinking one thing and it comes out in an even better way... Good stuff, thank you... :)

What inspired me to write: Spreading my thoughts across mylot and feeling that no matter how stupid something I say is it will be toppped many times over before the day has ended. I don't know if I would call them writing slaves, more like over filled garbage cans with the need to be emptied into the land fill of human stupidity. I imagine when our imaginary God looks at humanity all he sees is a blank page and is deciding whether to crumple it or wipe his behind. I kinda lean toward the wipe part. My gift to the people following behind me is to stop and gorge on bean burrito's and let them get a wiff of what is in thier future.

Hello GWB,
Yes, it is an interesting title.
I once knew a technical writer who, I'm pretty sure, thought he was a god. But, that's a story for another day.
Hmmm, I don't consider myself a writer. It isn't my profession. The spoken word, or oration is my profession. Yet, I have a great many tales to tell, that if I ever get some discipline (or off my fanny), would make some darned fine reading, or so I've been told.
I have a work associate who reminds me on a regular basis that I should write children's books, based on the tales of our little animal kingdom, out in the sticks. My husband reminds me frequently that I should pen my unique life experiences. Yet, I don't. Perhaps I'll be a "Grandma Moses" type of writer, and won't begin penning until I'm old and grey. Oh wait, I've already got some greys. Oops, missed that deadline, eh?
Who are my inspirations? Well, I love Shakespeare! But, who the heck wants to read Middle-English, in today's world? I'm also terribly fond of Diana Gabaldon. Her writing style is very similar to my style of logic, and tale-weaving.
As for why I write in MyLot ... well, I don't want to "bogart" knowledge. I've been blessed with a fine education, and some pretty amazing experiences, that might offer some help to another traveller on "the road of life".

Well, thanks for the kind words!
I have so many stories, catalogued between my ears, that I have no fear of running out. The fact that I haven't penned them yet, perhaps indicates that I lack to passion that you and some of your other respondent's seem to share.
Maybe someday, the writer's bug will nip me on the heels. Ouch! Did something just bite me? Ar,ar,ar!
Great topic! Thanks for sharing it.

Hi LadyLuna,
Your writing style and ability to tell a story with words looks just fine to me... :) Your words jump right off of the screen and speak volumes...
While posting to help others you should save some of your stories in a document and one day organize them for the future.
Good Stuff,
Peace and Blessings,
Sincerely,
Gary

It sounds like writing is a chore. I have something on one of my websites that addresses that situation, but I am busy right now. I love to write, I love to cook, oh and I love my granddaughter. I am not a god when I write. God gave me this gift of words and that is what I use to glorify him. I cannot by my wlll cause people to do things, but I do wonder what would happen if someone is put into a certain situation, or what happens after the show is canceled. I just love to write or and to sing as well. I do not feel guilty that I am here typing. Maybe you do, but I do not. I am not an article writer, a fiction writer, and even though I had a tragic event or did something bad, that is not what started me on writing. It was wondering what if but I am rambling so better stop.

I'm sorry the whole post turned after the first couple of lines, Writing is a Labor of Love and it is because we love to help others to teach and learn that we love to write and share and show that we care... :)
