We always make tough decisions in our life. Some of them would change our lives forever. When an opportunity to double everything you have, but you need to give up everything you have, would you take it and risk all you've got? Or do you want to play safe? There is a saying that "You cannot reach the skies unless you leave the ground".

To make such a hard decision, you gotta be inteligent. You must see the oportunity: do you really have chances of getting somewhere else if you risk everything? What can you win? How high can you get? Those things should be taken in consideration if you want to risk. If it's for something very good, I'd take the risk.

This year, I took the risk on saying "I love you" to a girl. I believed in me, I though I could do it. I though that, if I believed in myself, I could win. She said she doesn't love me. But anyway, I'm still trying, so the loss wasn't that big... After all, how can I lose something that I don't have?

During my life I had made lot of wrong decisions and also had made best decisions. By those decisions I gained a lot than that of loosing. Whatever I lost through wrong decision is only financial loss only and that never affected me. When I decided to do something I will first think, will this decision affect my family, friends and relatives, if the answer is no, then I do not care and will go ahead with my decision.

If the risks are too great I don't take them and play safe. Normally I stay within my comfort zone and stick to playing safe but certain things I will take risks on and see if they pay off. ~Joey

I do take risks. But it is not advisable to give everything for an uncertain amount. If something is guaranteed, one may go for it. But where there is an amount of risk involved, it is not advisable to give up everything. If some one has very little with him, then he will not be running the risk of losing that much. At that time, I would definitely give it a shot. Suppose if all I have is $1000 cash and other assets. I will give it up if I can double it. On the other hand if I have $100000, I will not do it.

I think it depends on what you have got. At first when you have not so much, it's for sure that we should take the risk to get a star. But when you have going on the way, it will be a bad idea to put your self on risk to get m=even more that's no so important.

Well almost everybody in this world would love to play safe if "they can"..!! But actually this life force us to take risks as playing safe canot be done "always" as this life never allows us to. So better get used to take risks, getting used to this can make the pain a little bit less....!!! But somewhere inside me I love to take risks its much more fun. It makes life worthwhile and much more beautiful to live in..!! And adventureous also. As always playing safe can make life dull and boreing..!! And honestly because of my parents I am actually "playing safe" in my real life. But when I'll be able enough to earn for myself and others I'll be living on the edge life full of risks....!! But takeing risks without thinking is clearly a foolishness. So before taking risks better use your head first otherwise you will always be failure..!! (not always!! as destiny can also work) :) Live happily.

I guess it depends upon the individual situation, but as far hopw much life i have seen i can conclude the one who takes risks and acts open heartedly with all his might is the one likely to be succeded as the winner,as opposed to the one who always wait for opportunity to knock his door rather than going and snatching it,after all its old saying that fortune favours the brave.

no, i will not take any risk, i would like to play sasfe because it is better to be safe than to take risk to get something because sometimes you try to fly higher and then you end up losing the controls.

Everyone's got to take a risk sometime. It's just life. If there is a slight chance, forget about it. It's not worth it. But hey, there will be other opportunities in life, right?

I don't think you will get very far without taking risks. Once in a while you have to reach for the stars because there is no other way to get what you want. Always playing it safe means you will never grow or reach your potential.

Hello argie. I'm always a risk taker. My favorite mantra: never fear. Should things turned out badly, I can always learned a few lessons there. There is really nothing in trying to playing it safe either. I just don't like to end up regretting and thinking why I didn't give my best shot.

I don't take so many risks as I used to now, as I would be messing about with my future security. When I was younger I was pretty wreckless sometimes. My first risk was to quit my job and start working for myself. At first it was a struggle, but as I grew more skillful at my work things improved. We need to take a certain amount of risk, but we can analyse exactly what we are doing before we do it.

I fully agree with the saying that you have to leave the ground to reach skies. But we should be very practical while taking risks in career or where a huge money or may be huge loss is involved. My view is that we should take calculated risk. I mean to say that we should take risk, may leave everything for now but we should keep open atleast one path through which we can return if the risk doesn't practically happen to get success. Play safe is other ground on which many person belief. Playing safe is good but it cannot give you some major changes in life. So risk if can be measured with some alternatives open should be taken for some good changes in life.

I'm a risk taker but I need to balance the situation first if I can gain more if I will take the risk, I will then take a risk. But if its just equal or I will gain less in taking that risk I just play safe and wait for another chance.
