Help: My screenshaver fails to work!

i have selected my screen shaver to activate after ten minutes of inactivity. It fails to turn on after the schedule time.Even I had tried to change the time setting, no result. prior to this problem, I noticed that the screen shaver though turned on but stopped after sometime keeping monitor black. What may be the cause? Will you please suggest something to rectify the problem? My OS is WindowXP. Thank you for your suggestion and your time.

I never had this problem with my screen saver. It always worked. Maybe you have a virus or spyware on your computer that blocks it from running? I would suggest to run your anti-spyware and anti-virus software and clean your computer if it is infected. Good luck!

I have never heard of a scree shaver.
Go into the settings in control panel and check to make sure that you have the time set there. If it is set and you have picked something to come up on the screen, it should work unless there is a conflict with some other program. If it comes up black that means that you didn't select a screen saver to pop up on the screen.
