I watched this movie the other week and cannot for the life of me remember the name of it, but It was a movie about postpartum psychosis...It was really scary to think that something like this could happen. This lady was not at all ill intentioned. She just went crazy, She had her baby and this doll appeared, she thought it was cursed, and she went crazy thinking someone was trying to hurt her baby, but she didnt realize it was her, and she swore it was someone else, and the doll appeared again at the end of the movie and she buried it, but it turned out it wasnt the doll it was the baby, and when her husband woke her up and asked her where the baby was she said, "what baby?" Do you know the name of this movie? IT was really good. But anyway, the point of the discussion... Are you scared of postpartum psychosis? I am...I do not know what I would do if this happened to me...Have you ever known anyone with it?

Just a guess, it wasn't Rosemary's Baby was it? Sounds like a great scary film, I haven't seen it but judging by your discussion it's well worth watching, if it's not I too would be interested in finding out the correct name of the film, thanks for sharing.

One of my secretaries had postpartume depression and she had to be hospitalized for it. After she had her baby she developed a psychosis. She was lucky as she got treated immediately for it. She had a very understanding husband and family.

Yes, I am glad she got help! That is wonderful! Were their signs that were noticed? Who noticed her or her husband? Just curious.

Her husband noticed it right away and apparently convinced her to see her doctor.
