Okay...theres this pyramid scheme called quixtar. Recently a couple of people came up to my job and asked me if i was looking to make some extra money. so obviously i said well of course and before i knew it they made me shell out about 150 dollars and waste time at stupid rallys and meetings. the only way to make money with it is off of other people...has anyone heard of this?

Yes, I've heard of it. I've had people approach me about it. It has been around for years. It seems to be similar to the old Amway program. In my experience, the same people who tried to get me into Amway are now in Quixtar. Whether or not is it the same program, I don't know. I do know that it seems the people at the top of the pyramid make a lot of money, and the rest don't. My experience has been that the Quixtar meetings and rallies seem to be the top dogs bragging about how much money they've made while the rest who attend the meetings spend more on products and books to make the top dogs more money. My Dad got into the pyramid program of Amway years ago. He never made any money off of it, but he sure spent a lot of money on their products making someone else money. Any time anyone even mentions Quixtar I turn and run. I hope this works out for you so you can make your initial investment back.

A guy at work asked me to join too. He and the guy who signed him up took me and my wife out to eat and explained the whole deal to us. I didn't buy it. The guy wouldn't ever tell me how much money he was making off it. When I asked he just said it wasn't about him right now, it was about me and how much money I could make. That threw up a red flag for me so I didn't do it.

sounds to me like they found a sucker to pay part of their earnings.
