Has your car or bike ever been stolen from your front yard? Did you see it happen?

Thank god, no, this has never happened to me. But I have a friend whose bike was stolen right out of her garage! Yikes!

We had our van stolen twice. At one stage we caught the thief redhanded when we heard the van jerking we quickly rushed out to check and sure enough the thief in his panic stage forgot to loosen the handbrake. We did not manage to catch him as he got off as soon as he heard us shouting. The second time when the van was stolen it was found in another area with a punctured tyre left at the middle of the road. The police towed it to the police station when we finally traced it.

No, it has never been stolen from my front yard but I did see a big guy drive away in it down a ramp from the three storey parking station I had put it in. I was like "did that guy just drive off with my car?". When I got to the parking spot where I had left it and it was gone, then I knew I had just seen the guy who had stolen it driving away.

Man...I had just bought my daughter a bike maybe about a year ago and she just came back from a bike ride and set her bike on the front porch and the next thing you know, it was gone. But fortunately my husband caught them. Then after a week, she went to the library and left her bike for 5 minutes and again, it was gone. Oh well, now she bought herself her own bike and she is more careful with it.

I have a nice mountain bike that was stolen from my front yard. I parked it overnight in front of my garage and the next day it was gone. It was gone for a few days I believe when I spotted it parked at one of the local bars. I thought to myself, "Great. Some drunk guy will come charging out after I try to take it back." I ended up walking up to it quickly jumping on it and pedaling as fast as I could away from there. Nobody even noticed and I still have my bike.
