Will you sacrifice your family over your loved one?

What if you're in a situation wherein your family does'nt like your boyfriend/ girlfriend for some reason? What do you think is the best thing to do? Will you sacrifice your family or is it the other way around, wherein you will just sacrifice your own happiness for your family? I know it's not easy to make decision with but you can't let the situation hang just like that. For me, if I really love the guy and if I can also see that he loves me then maybe I'm gonna fight for it. I'll just let my parents explain to them how I feel toward this guy. I should explain to them clearly so that they give me and my boyfriend the consideration of knowing the guy first before they could judge him.
