The word "prayer" in the original Greek is "proseukemi", which means to bow to the will of another. We are to bow to God's will for our lives when we pray. Prayer is not a "wish list". God is in control and will remain in control of our lives. Sometimes He puts us through hard times to strengthen us or even to punish us. We are not supposed to question his will. I hope this was helpful. Agape.

Even Saint Paul, who one of the greatest apostle of Christ, was not granted by God with one of his most important requests. God has plans far beyond our understanding. All we have to do is keep on believing that He has better plan for us. As one of my friends says, "there is no such thing as an unanswered prayer. When God said NO, it's still an answer but it's us to know why not. And behold, it's not bad thing after all." God bless you!
