is it arestful sleep ? Do you toss and turn ? Do you wake up all hours of the night ? ME ? I wake up all hours , I never get a good night sleep . I do toss and turn even if need to roll over I wake up to do so ... I have been awake til around 4 or5 in the morning every night for the last few months , actually I`ve been that way for years ... I`ve asked my doctor for sleeping pills just to break me of it and so I can get my days and nights back on track and she says Oh its addictive , so I leave it at that ... I`m now to the point that I`ll start buying them over the counter ... I don`t know what else to do ... By the time I do fall asleep and finally wake up my day is gone ... What would you do ??? I admit I have had an addictive personality in the past , that was almost 5-6 years ago , I don`t take anything anymore maybe thats why I can`t sleep ... I also admit the only time I do sleep without waking up is after I have a couple beers ... Which I`m not proud of , I do enjoy having a couple but I don`t want to rely on it ... So so what if sleeping pills are addictive , I`m addicted anyways ...

Thats not good , the same thing happened to my Father , He would stop breathing long enough that it would wake him up . I don`t know what the doctors said it was ,have you seen your doctor about this ??? If so what is it ??? I don`t blame you for not taking pills , sounds like you don`tneed them anyways ...

I've never been a good sleeper and for a while recently I was waking up in the middle of the night and not able to get back to sleep until the alarm went off, then as if by magic I would fall asleep. But lately I have been staying up later (mylot) and getting up early to watch Wimbledon tennis and have been sleeping better when I am in bed. So being tired appears to work for me.

Me, too. I think mylot may be a seasonal thing for me and I will spend less time here when the Summer is over. Maybe even when Wimbledon is over and, hopefully I can make myself start running again.

It's really a big problem not to be able to sleep but that's up to you. You should have strong will power to get out of that addiction. Don't take that sort again and try to free your mind of any problem and go to sleep naturally. You will be able to adjust sooner or later.

Thats why I want to try sleepng pills just long enough to get back on track ... I know i can I did it before , I do have the will and won`t let it get to me ... Thank-you for responding I was mainly wondering if there anyone else with the same problem ???? Wondering how they dealt with it ...

you might want to try the natural herb 'melatonin' your body produces it naturally and perhaps yours is not producing enough??!! you can purchase it at most health food stores--i have tried both (sleeping pills and melatonin) also you can get sleeping pills that are not addictive...check with your dr.

I just bought Simply Sleep , I will try it out before I lay down . I also tried Melatonin , I did`t find it helped much , maybe it will with one Simply sleep a night ... I was almost scared to use it again cause I broke out in Hives from head to toe . I did get blood work done and I had some kind of infection in my intestines , but the doctor wasn`t sure how I got it , it took almost three months to get rid of it ... I don`t really want to go through that again ... But I will talk to my doctor again ... Thankx alot

Hi. When I sleep I get itchy and irritated, probably have hair stuck in my shirt and down my back... But lately when I sleep, I wish I had 3 thick mink blankets on me, because it is very cold inour house...

I can totally relate to you. I don't sleep well at night, either. I never get to bed before 12:00am, and it always takes me until at least 1 am to get to sleep, and then, I wake up every 2 hours or so and go to the restroom. By the time I get up for work, I'm a miserable wreck. I would like to go to the Dr. and get sleeping pills, but I'm afraid I'd oversleep for work.

Sorry to hear that , what about reading a book in bed , I used to do that when I could see enough to read one I found that relaxed me ... But I can no longer read books , I have to strain my eyes too much so I don`t anymore ... Give it a try ... Good luck ...

My situation is not same as your but yes, if i dont have a hectic day then i too cant sleep like you. i do toss and turn and i m awake till 5-6 in the morning. Next day i make it a point i do quite a lot of work, cleaning the house. take care of baby and then keep myself busy by going out and buying things for house. i somehow keep busy till 10:30in the night. Automatically i feel very sleepy and atleast 6 hour i have tight sleep. i wont even know what happenned and when i get up its morning.

Oops I hope I didn`t rate your comment as Negative ,cause if I did I didn`t mean to .... My problem also is when I do wake up the day is gone and I also try and stay up til I am tired but by that time I`m Overtired ... I get so frustrated , like tonight I again am Overtired and already tried to go to sleep only to find myself staring at the ceiling , so thought if i came on mylot I would get sleepy , I`ll see what happens again ... Your lucky you have a baby to keep you busy , if only that would be nice ...
