I had to laugh at first..but on the local news they were telling that testers found that "pigs" that were fed high doses of potatos were healthier then those who didn't receive the starchy portions..
The newscaster stated that better immune system can be insured simply by eating a dose of mash potatos every day..
What do you think of this..
How does that fall on the ears of those with diabeters..
The commentator said legumes, potatoes and other starchy foods are showing positive results in the attempt to boost immune systems..
The test however was done only on pigs..
What are you thoughts on this?

That's something I have not heard of before. In the past I read that most nutrients in potatoes were in the skin of potatoes, so when you peeled it off you were throwing away the best part of them. Now... pigs eat the whole potatoe, unless you have one of them as a pet, like in that movie picture where the piglet thought itself being a shepherd dog(Ü). Perhaps we should wash potatoes carefully and eat them baked, skin and all.

IF I eat a baked potato..I usually do just that: that is wash them well and eat them skins and all..
Perhaps we should just peel them and throw away the inside and eat the peels..Maybe we have been eating potatos wrong all this time;)+

I think that only holds true for pigs and maybe other animals. I have heard that salads and water are the best things for our immune system so I will keep sticking with those. I do like potatoes though so I have no problem eating them but do not believe they help our immune system.

I think its quite weird but could be good if it works for humans.
People could always try it and see if it helps, if it doesn't then you just stop but if it does help i think it will be good for people with low immune systems like diabetics.
