My question is do you read through the entire paper, the headlines only, or several different areas? I'm very impatient when it comes to reading the newspaper. What about you,MyLoters? What do you do?

It depends how much time I have. In an ideal world I would sprawl out on the bed reading the paper from cover to cover. I always tear as I go, removing coupons, items of interest and competition forms etc, then the rest goes into the recycle. On a bad day I speed read the lot, tear the coupons and put the paper onto a special pile I have to read later. I usually manage to catch up but after a week any that still have not been totally read go into the recycle. I have to admit I am suduko mad and always clip those to try to complete later lol.

It takes a lot of patience to be able to do all that!!!

No patience required. I absolutely love reading. If I won a lottery I would probably buy every newspaper and magazine I could read, and lots of books too. I was taught to speed read and this helps when time is short, but I don't find it nearly as satisfying as a nice long read. As to the tearing and clipping, that came from a time management course. Why read and then go back and find everything, tear and file as you go. The course cost me about $100 but I have made many times more that back just by actually clipping and using the coupons lol.

I never read through the whole newspaper. I usually look at the front to see the list of deaths. Just to make sure there was no one that i knew. Then i read "annies mailbox." It used to be ann landers. And i usually read the front. And thats about it.

I really don't like reading the obits. It's been years ago, but I read my sons obit before he even passed away. Thought it was just a fluke, but it wasn't. Can't bring myself to read them...):

i read the entire paper when i really have the time for it.. if not, i would just usually browse through and read the really important articles. and i usually start from the back to the front.

Any reason for starting from the back to the front?

I usually browse to the comic section first then read the other parts later. The headline doesn't matter to me.
