We had one dog that had really rank gas. We found some dog chews at Big Lots that had mint in them and that seemed to tame the smell down somewhat. We haven't been able to find them lately we we give them mint leaves and that helps a little. I really think it is the dog food. When we just had one dog and bought the premium lamb and rice food we had no problems. But with five dogs that is just way to expensive. Now it is Walmart's Old Roy for them all. And I think that is a major contributor to the bad gas.

oooh I wonder if thats it....we ALWAYS give them Old Roy food and biscuts actually! It does get pricey buying the more expensive stuff...we only have 2 dogs but we have 4 cats too and they have to have the Urinary Tract stuff cause my one kitty had issues with cheaper food...so it all adds up..I wonder if we should switch to a better brand and see what happens though

I had a post like this awhile back lol. Every now and then one or both of my dogs will just get really bad gas. One time, one of the dogs actually ran out of the room lol... The one dog does SBD's(silent but deadly), and the smell just stays in the area-just awful. The other dog, he's such a pig, he'll make a little "puff", and then he sticks his nose in his butt to smell it lol. Those are pretty bad too. He also has a tendency to burp in your face. I attributed mine to the dogs getting into the baby's leftovers that she'd throw down from the high chair, or when she'd decide to feed the dogs her food. But, someone mentioned to me also, maybe get them checked for worms. Otherwise, it could be their dog food. One thing you could try too, start giving them a tablespoon of yogurt everyday. Helps their digestive tract by adding good bacteria. Any kind of yogurt is fine, mine seemed to prefer the vanilla. Good luck, I do sympathize with you :)

LMAO! I know how you feel! My cats got the most horrible gas imaginable too - but only when they eat tuna. So it might be something they're eating that causes them the very nasty smelling gas. Try changing their dog food or if you switch it up then see if it's only that bad when they eat this or that.
Good luck sweetie! I feel for you!

LOL, I have that here. You haven't lived until you have cats with gas. I recommend leaving for the day, LOL.

What are you feeding them? My dogs dont have gas at all.. ever but I never feed them table scraps or anyonther "people" food. If the gas smells familiar then you know why they are geting the same affliction!! LOL

I find when I give Lucy canned dog food she pongs. I geta look when I look at her that says "I can't help it". If i give her pot scrapings when I've made something with onion it makes her stinky as well. So I guess the answer lies in what you feed them.
