Have you ever saved another person's life?

For some reason that thought came to me today and I wondered what I may have done over the years of my life that resulted in saving someone's life. I know there were instances when my work as a counselor helped prevent suicides. And I would hope that from all the many inmates that I worked with there would be one at least who turned his life around so that he didn't ever drink [or drug] and drive again. That could have saved a life.
I've donated money to charities that provide food, medicine, etc., in third world countries. That could have saved someone, especially the children.
But I can't think of any clearly heroic behavior when I saved a person from imminent death.
I can say that I resisted the urge to kill my kids when they were really naughty! LOL. One time in particular I remember thinking, "This is why people abuse their kids!" But I backed against the door frame and told my daughter to go to her room immediately. I REALLY wanted to hit her. But I didn't and she survived. She has her own kids now and knows exactly how I felt!
I've donated blood. It is possible that that saved a life.
How about you? What have you done to save another person's life?
