Breaking News: Chris Benoit & his wife Found Dead

We are still awaiting further details, but PWInsider.com is extremely saddened to report that former WWE and WCW World champion Chris Benoit and his wife, former WCW and ECW personality Nancy "Woman" Benoit were both found dead today in Atlanta, Georgia. Obviously this will be a huge developing story in the days to come but at this point, we'd like to express our deepest condolences to the Benoits' family, friends, and fans at this time.
A meeting is currently ongoing at WWE TV and it is expected that tonight's three hour Raw will now be dedicated to Benoit's memory.
6:09 Update: WWE.com issued the following statement this afternoon: "WWE is sad to report that Chris Benoit and his family have been found dead in their home. Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Tonight's Raw will be a tribute to Chris and his family."

I can't believe it. It's so sudden. I'm like HOLY S*IT!!! I can't believe it. I really don't know what else to say. This one actually is shocking as it just came out of the blue. 2 years ago, we had Latino die unexpectedly and now this time Benoit.
This is not a good year for the wrestlers.
I hope this is a clear message, end this stupid Vince Mcmahon storyline with all these deaths happening for the love of humanity.

oh my, will the world ever be the same. and with mcmahon gone, too. how will i go on!! why is there no major news coverage about these recent newsworthy events? just another publicity stunt. IMO they've gone too far with this.

I think once more information is revealed, then we will know what happened exactly. I think it'll be in a few days. Should this actually turn out to be a fake storyline, which this one I doubt since it's mainly over the reliable news sites, then they should get in big trouble with it.

Ummmm....HELLO!!!! This isn't a freaking storyline people!! This is real life!!! Do you honestly think that if this was a "publicity stunt" it would be in the news??? Vince is still alive....DUH!! If he wasn't, he wouldn't have appeared on Raw last night. On the subject of Vince, the whold limo thing we saw a couple of weeks ago was taped the night before raw. Get a f***ing clue people!!!

Actually it was on a Canadian TV tonight as he is from there. he has 2 other children that were in Canada when his body, his wifes body and the youngest sons body was found. This is true. So sad yet true.

It's ok. I can understand why you thought that probably with the Vince Mcmahon storyline. At least more information came out though.

Is this for real? Wow. I like Benoit. I can't believe he just die so suddenly. This is not a good year for wrestler at all. =(

Say it aint so? I remember Chris. I haven't seen WWE wrestling in a long time. When I was watching Chris was becoming the heavy in the storylines.He was real good. I didn't want to see my favorites fight him. he will be missed.

oh my god i cant belive this he was a great fighter i cant belive him and his wife and his son all got killed i think it is a murder my self as i think chris was a good guy and not a crazy one he allways seemed so quiet i wounder how breat hart is feeling all of his freinds and family have gone or near a noth this is a realy sad day for wrestling

Wow! This is hard to believe. I hate to think that he was murdered along with his family but anything is possible anymore. I really don't think that this is going to be a fake storyline. How sad! My prayers are with the family of these people.
Chris was a great wrestler and I am sure that he will be missed by all of his fans!!

Even I read about this in the morning and it is very sad to hear that one of the best wrestler, Chris Beniot is no more. It defenatley looks to be the bad phase for the wrestlers as we lost Eddie some time back and now Chris Beniot. We will miss him.

I've been totally shocked by this even though I'm not really a wrestling fan. My parter is a huge fan. I'm hoping they're on the right track to figuring it all out. I am glad that McMahon stepped in the ring instead of playing out his sick plot.

Sad to hear this as well. I feel it may be a domestic abuse case sadly enough. As Chris was "away" from last nights PPV due to a "family" emergency. Now how will the writers work this into the Vince stroyline I wonder. We know it will weasle it's way into it somehow. I am hoping it won't but one never knows.

This is so sad. What would make anyone murder their own son. Even if they had problems with their wife or husband, why the boy? I always liked Benoit but if the reports are true and he did kill his family the all time he spent building up his reputation will be lost. I hope there is another explanation.

Gosh, this all sounds so bizarre and tragic ..
So, for those us us who have not heard the details..it was Chris, his wife, and their son? How old was the son? Do they have any theories of what happened yet?
