I prefer family guy over Simpsons. Family guy is the new Simpsons. On Family Guy, the kids are older, there's more pop culture references, & the humor is a little more crude. The Simpsons were good during their first 10 seasons then it went downhill. I think Simpsons should be old school just like the other shows that debuted in the same year, 1989. Plus, you can get an idea of what part of Rhode Island Quahog is in. The Simpsons live in Springfield in an unknown state.

Definitely Family Guy! I never really watched the Simpsons. I wasn't allowed to watch them as a kid! I am looking forward to seeing the Simpsons movie though. It's supposed to be the best simpson material ever! That'll be fun.

Family Guy is a lot funnier than The Simpsons. I like both of them but I've never really thought that The Simpsons was that funny. Family Guy is probably the funniest cartoon I've watched.

Simpsons are getting old and i think in a season or two they should call it quits. Familly Guy is now the reigning CHAMP!

Both are fantastic cartoons but Family Guy for me. Even though they both have very whitty and sometimes sarcastic which is more kind of british humour instead of american, family guy has more totally out of the blue stupidness and sharper wit in places. Big fan of Southpark too though.

I think Family Guy most defanitely. I never really liked the Simpsons all that much...I mean I Love Homer but that's the only character, and I love all of the Family Guy characters especially Stewie!!

Yeah, family guy is nice.. I used to watch simpsons but like you said they are not so funny anymore alltho i watch simpsons when im bored. Family Guy is just good because stewie is so freaking funny and peter too.. :)

I love Family guy.That show is the funniest. The Simpsons are ok but they're not as funny as they use to be.

I used to love The Simpsons. However, it has really gone downhill over the past couple of years. The humor has become dry, dull, and the overall vibe I get from the show is disinterest. Family guy picks up where the Simpsons let off, with hilarious anecdotes, larger-than-life characters, and some of the most talented comedic writers of all time. I would have to say that Matt Groening loses to Seth MacFarlane and Family Guy. However, Seth really screwed up his reputation of hilarity with "American Dad," a show about an extremely conservative father in the CIA. It has its moments, but it's nothing to brag about. Winner: Family Guy.

Well in more recent times Family guy has been the funniest out of the two. But you have to remember The simpsons is a timeless classic it has been on for years and still creates new content which is unlike anything else on television. I also need to stress that Family Guy just gets cheap laughs by having him walk into a poll or something like that, whereas The Simpsons have a well thought out storyline to each episode and has comedy that children and adults alike can relate to alike. The simpsons also has a deeper morale of the story through each episode unlike the family guy where all you might learn is that if you try and kill someone it is funny.
