What's one of the most embarrassing things you did as a kid?

I remember when I was about 5 or 6, I had just learned that chickens were hatched from eggs that their parents sat on, and I thought it might be fun to have a little baby chicken. So one morning I woke up earlier than my parents to go watch cartoons, grabbed my pillow from my bed and an egg from the carton in the fridge and took them to the living room, turned on the TV and sat down on my egg to help it hatch. I had to do it really gingerly, you see, because I didn't want to crush the chick that I was sure was inside.
A little while later I heard some noise from my parent's room, so I got up to move on the couch, put the egg down on the pillow and sat down harder then I intended, crushing the egg all over my pajama pants and my pillow. I started crying because I killed the chicken and my mom came out and started yelling at me about the yolk running all over my pillow and the couch.
Obviously I know now that chicks don't hatch from store-bought eggs.. :) Of course it's drilled into my head since my parents bring it up whenever they're feeling particularly nostalgiac or they want to embarrass me.
What about you?
