Odd little fact about birth control pills.

I recently went to my dentist to get a cleaning done. I was talking to the hygienist about problems I've been having with my gums bleeding. She told me that sometimes birth control pills can make your gums bleed more easily and that it wasn't anything I should worry about too much. Does anyone else out there that takes birth control pills find that their gums bleed easily?

This is true, the estrogen in the pills can make your gums fragile and bleed easily. You have to be sure to go to the dentist every 6 months and to floss daily in addition to brushing.
