Do you let them stay up late in the summer months or do you keep their normal bed time? I put my kids to bed at 8:30. what about you? Are there advantages to letting them stay up late? I have 6 kids and 4 out of 6 have ADHD and no matter how late I let them stay up they are up at 6 am. Anyone with ADHD kids have advice?

First off let me say kudos to you for having four children with ADHD. We have two boys who have ADHAD and ODD so I can kinda understand what a challenge each days is for you. In our household the children go to bed at different times. The youngest who is five heads to bed at seven thirty. The middle child (seven) then heads to bed about eight thirty. The oldest child (eight) goes to bed about nine nine thirty. The youngest and middle children share a room so we separate their bedtimes by an hour so that the youngest one can fall asleep before his brother comes to bed.

My 18 month old goes to bed at 7. He gets up between 5-7 in the morning no matter what, as well. So really, if you need the extra peace, why not put them to bed early? When I was little, I hated that I had to be in bed by 7 or 7:30 until I was 9 or so, but now I realize that my mom was just so worn out after an entire day (we were homeschooled) of dealing with three kids that she needed a breather!

After doing their assignments and little reviews I put them on bed at 9:00 pm and wake up at 6:am.
