Lake Tahoe Fire

I just spent a week in California, Sacramento to be exact. We took a drive up to Lake Tahoe. The scenery there was magnificent. There is a fire burning through Lake Tahoe right now, apparently started by a human, perhaps maliciously. It truly saddens me that people have no regard for the fact that it is so dry, a spark from a weed whacker can start a devastating fire. Over 200 homes have been lost, not to mention the lives of the wildlife and human beings that are in grave danger. Conservationist have taken great care to keep the natural beauty of the area in tact. Poof!! Gone in a matter of hours due to someone's negligent behavior. I am very happy I was able to see this beautiful area before it was destroyed by this horrible fire. I just want to urge people to take special care when they are in an extremely dry area, as it is very easy to ignite a fire that can get out of control very quickly. PEACE
