I love sticky rice!! That's one of my favorite Thai things. I just wish it wasn't such a long process to make.

We use chopsticks to eat things. We use spoons for soup. Just use your thumb, your index finger and your middle finger to hold the chopsticks. Try and practise. You will soon know how. Have fun trying.

If you want to have a good time enjoying watching Chinese eating with their chopsticks, just go to a local Chinese restaurant and you will learn a lot. Or else come to China for a visit to see more and learn more about cultures on Chinese chopsticks. A suggestion only. Have fun with chopsticks.

I've tried on a several different occasions to master using chopsticks but it just doesn't work. I look rather clumsy trying to use them so I've just given up. I usually end up dropping one, or both of the sticks. I'll stick with using a fork thanks.

Nope! I cannot use chop sticks! I have tried so many times already and cannot master the art of using chop sticks. I wish I could, but it truly is an art to be able to use them and I just do not have that artist approach to chop sticks in order to successful eat with them... I always revert back to eating with my fork. LOL

Yeah, I understand even if we tried to use them, we feel of being clumsy not just clumsy if somebody see us using it...they might laugh at us either. lol

Yes, I've been eating with chopsticks for as long as I can remember. Although I'm not Asian myself, since I was young, my family has often eaten out at restaurants that serve food that is best eaten with chopsticks (Japanese, Malaysian, Chinese, etc). Using the culture's utensils is, to me, personally, a requirement of the cusine. After all, how can you eat sushi without chopsticks? It's hard to explain how to use chopsticks in words. One method I can give you is to use your ring finger to keep the bottom chopstick stable, and move the top chopstick freely with your index finger & middle finger.

Oh yeah, I love chopsticks! If the food is to be eaten by chopsticks, I'm there! The hardest thing for me though, is rice! It's not that hard, but sometimes I just can't do it. I have some really beautiful ones that I got in Thailand. I love them! The came with really nice bamboo place mats and chai cups.
