How many of you have ever been Pentecostal?

Well, I have been Apostolic Pentecostal myself now for almost 21 yrs. I grew up Mormon, and remember attending my first UPC service back on Easter Sunday 1986. It was a yr. later I decided to turn my life around, and chose to become UPC. I have had some struggles in my life since then, and backslid for a while, etc. but I have been back in Faithfully for over 10 yrs. now, and there is no turning back. I Love what I believe.

I became pentecostal when I was probably 12 years old.I stopped going after the pastor began to fall back and kicked me out of church because I had a school book from the library that his wife said was evil. It was a book about how a church member use to worship Satan and how he found God. It was a good book. They wouldn't give it back until my sister told them that she was going to call the cops. The book was given back to me shortly after. I don't believe that all pastor's are like this though. I have just been having trouble finding myself but I will eventually. Take care.

I have been a Christian for 3 years now. The person who introduced me to God was pentecostal, but I didn't become Pentecostal right away. I got lost in the wilderness, finding the right church for me, I ended up going back to the Pentecostal church (not the church who brought me to God though). I believe God really wanted me to be in the Pentecostal church. I grew so much in my current church and I have just been baptized by the Holy Spirit last December 2009. And so many things followed after that. Yes, you are right. Pentecostal church is not a cult. Cults don't worship Jesus Christ and are not Christ like. I pity the lives of those who blaspheme the Holy Spirit. tsk tsk...
