Did You Made Choices For Your Own Happiness Or Just To Pleased Your Family...

You know what I am 37 years old, and I have been married and divorced and I have two children. Until the beginning of this year 90% of my decisions I made in life went around whether or not it would make my parents happy. And in the end it was just me that was unhappy because even though I tried to do things that would make them happy, they never realised it. I thought that a good daughter has no secrets from her parents and is always open and honest. Well, guess what it just does not work that way. Now I do have secrets from them and I do not tell them everything that is happening in my life. I am far more happier now than I have ever been. I am living my best life now. I know right from wrong and I know honest from dishonest. I know a good life from a bad life. I am doing the best that I can with all the knowledge that I have and I am making decisions not on whether they will be happy or not but if I will be happy and if my Heavenly Father will be happy. That is all that matters to me now. I am sure that they made decisions when they were my age and younger that dissappointed their parents, and so they just need to let me be and know that I am doing the best I can with what I have, knowledge and otherwise. I have to live my life and really live it - not based on what they want me to but on what I want to do. So go for it and have and create the necessary confidence to carry it out. I do it for both... I mean my family also are conservative but they let me decide for myself. They are conservative in a way that they just want the best for me... and they dont want me to act like cheap one... but all in all if I have a reason why I have to do something... or if I'll do no harm to anybody then it is ok. I ues there is nothing wrong if you decide for yourself... as long as you DON NOT CAUSE ANY HARM TO OTHERS AND TO YOURSELF... they might be

why you and your family are always on the opposite,if you can feel happy to do something,why they will get hurt?you are a family,I think you should have commen benefit,will you communicate with your family on what you want to do?I think you should let them know that what you will do is good to all of you,then see their reaction.
