I have never done so, but i know people that have bought some items in a shop, specially clothes, and then they return it a couple of days later. Normally they buy it to wear those shoes or clothes at a special event (parties etc.), and keep the ticket to return it afterwards.
For me that's a sort of shoplifting..What do you think about this? have you ever returned an item you had already used? why?

I agree with you, my friend. I don't really think I could return something I used already.
If I have a special place to go, I would prefer to really buy something not buy and return it later after using it. If I can't afford buying anything new, I would try to find something that I already have that might work. If none of this worked I would prefer not to go at all.

It happened once to me Mr. Light when I bought a DVD, before I do left from the store I told the guy to have it check if it's playing well...but as for me wanting to really make sure everything's okay I then asked him if I could still return the item and get a new one whenever it don't play well when I get home, and gladly he said yes I could still return it if in case and just have to put some mark there on the DVD in order for them to change the item. And yeah in short, there is really something wrong with the DVD and good thing we have made the agreement and they let me changed it to a new one. :-)

Well in your case there was no fraudulent intention...if the DVD wasn't working well, there was no point in keeping it. It would have been bad if you have watched the movie and had returned the dvd afterwards..that's bad.

No I haven't. Like you I tend to think it is dishonest and fraudulent. Of course I have taken back stuff that was given to me and wasn't suitable - for example, an item of clothing that didn't fit, but I have never knowilingly bought something just to wear on one occasion and then taken it back to get a refund. Not my style at all:-)) Cheers!

I haven ever returned any item that I have used already but I had already have some items replaced because I found them defective when I got to use them. I find those people who return items after using them to be really dishonest. I am in retail business and I never accept items returned just because the customer changed his/her mind. However, I do replace right away those items that they found to be defective or has some damages. I also replace those items that didn't come close to what it promises in terms of durability and performance.
