I don't know how many of you have heard of Squire Parsons, but he is a singer/songwriter of gospel music and has been doing so for a number of years. He used to sing with a group called The Kingsmen. He is from Virginia. He, his son and another gentleman who sings and travels with them were at my church before we left to go on vacation. We had a wonderful service. If any of you have heard of the song "Sweet Beulah Land" that is one of the songs he is most known for, but there are so many more. In fact, he has written over 1800 songs! I am enclosing a picture with this discussion of he and his son Sam that I took that night after the service was over. They are wonderful people who truly love the Lord and it is plain to see in their singing and in their testimonies. I was able to get his autograph too. My son started talking to Sam and Stuart, being autistic, started talking about some things that were important to him. Sam was so sweet and understanding. He gave him a CD for free and told him "Stuart I want you to promise me something, every time you listen to this CD I want you to pray for us." Stuart promised him that he would. It brought tears to my eyes.
I'm sure this was a special day for Mr. Parsons because it was Father's Day and having his son get to be with him and sing with him made his Father's Day even more special.
God Bless You All!!SheliaLee

I have heard of Squire Parsons and I have heard him sing. He sang one time at some gathering that I went to and I am assuming that The Mullins Family was also there as I used to follow them around alot to hear them sing as I am friends with them.
He is an excellent singer/songwriter and he is a fantastic Christian who truly loves the Lord and is not afraid to show it in his daily life.
That was very nice of his son and I am sure that it made your sons' day!!

Hello! It definitely did make my son happy! He loves gospel music just like I do. I had to practically drag him away from the table so other people could talk to Squire and Sam Ha! Ha! But I couldn't be upset with him because he didn't mean anything by it.
Thanks so much for your response and I hope you have a wonderful day!
