Why do you think Benoit Did it?

I know, as wrestling fans, we are all aware of the discovery of Chris Benoit, his wife Nancy, and their son Daniel dead in their Atlanta home Monday morning. Everyone in the wrestling industry describes him as a loving, family man; however police say this is an apparent double murder-suicide orchestrated by Benoit. There were rumors about infidelity on the part of Nancy, but what does that have to do with Daniel, was he, or did Benoit think he was the product of that infidelity? What do you think happened, and what could make Benoit, the wrestling family man, snap and kill his wife, son, and then himself methodically over the weekend?

The news is really shocking and I still find it hard to believe. Something was obviously very wrong with him if he did do it, I think steriods really messed with his mind. I did hear that the doctor that prescribed the steriods was being spoken to by the police.
I think it is early days and that the details should not have been realised until the police know for sure what happened. If it turns out he didnt do it I think it will be a great shame that his name has been darkened.
Whatever happened it is a great loss to WWE and my thoughts are with the rest of his family and friends.

I don't think steriods had anything to do with it. I think Chris had planned this whole thing out. Most times when a man kills his family than himself. It is because he has lost his job or can't finacially take care of his family.I had heard from a source that leaks news early on about WWE. The soucre said a big time wrestler was going to be leaving. They said it was going to be Chris Benoit. Now I find out this....just freaky to me. So I really don't know what to think right now.

Why do I think he did it? I don't think he did it. And you have no more evidence to prove him guilty than I do to prove him innocent. We will probably never truly know exactly what happened. You and the rest of your peers in this so called "civilized" society need to judge not for when you commit your evil you too shall be judged. Most of you commit your acts in the dark but the light always shines.

Poor family of Chris Benoit, rumors arises of infedelity, too much steroid, some even say a theatrical stage play of murder but i dont think its still right to say that, cause its life we are talking here not an act in a wrestlemania. Some even said that there is another person that killed all his family and then made it look like that Chris did it. We, may not know the real motives are. But hopefully the his soul and his family may rest in peace.

Maybe there were a lot of problems. A whole lot of them. Then he couldn't take it anymore. Mix it with the steroids, snap! There goes his sanity. I really would like to believe that someone else did it and made it look like Chris did it. It really is possible. But if it turns out the police were right.. God bless the soul of his family. God have mercy on his soul. This is such a big smack on me. I really did admire him as a wrestler.

I couldn't get over it when I heard about it..I love wrestling but I can honestly say I wasn't totally a fan..however, I do kind of buy into the steroid theory..I didn't know much about him besides the fact that he is from canada and was real tight with Eddie Guerrero..I would just really like to know why he would kill his own family like that...

The news is now reporting he strabgled his wife, suffocated his son then leaft the house over the weekend. He returned Mondy and hung himself in his weight room. Steroids are a possible cause as the rage they cause in a lot of people.

That really is the question that I have been thinking about since the news has slowly come out from the authorities. I really don't like to speculate, but if the reasoning and theories that the police have are accurate, what a horrible situation. I think Grandpa Bob had a good point about steroids and rage, but I really don't know about how it... listening to the tribute last night, everyone stated that Benoit was a family man, a good guy, I really wonder. This is just a sad story that has the potential to get worse as more details come out.

There have been marital problems all along and I suspect that there may have been previous violence. I think this was a very troubled man and had little to do with steroids which the media is deeming a crime based on "roid rage". He must have been so completely tortured for him to be driven to such violence. It is unlikely that he snapped, but more like he's been building up to this over a period of time.

My husband and I sat here watching the tribute last night and throwing around some theories, and this one came up. We'd like to think that Benoit didn't do this and it may have been a murder by a fourth person and made to look like that Benoit did it. Maybe that is a defense mechanisim to not have to admit that he did. Now that the stories are taking about "roid rage", that is the only way I could see him doing this terrible thing.
