It's going to take that poor little girl ages for her to memorize her name. lol What do you all think about this? Is it a dumb idea or a very good, unique thing to do?

Wow 25! I am sure it definately sets her out among the other children, but I have to say that there will be someone who is going to go one better and I woudl hate to see hwat the longest string of middle names is by the time my daughter has children lol. My four year old has just got the hang of writing her first name, woudl be interesting to see if the parents can remember which order they go in never mind the daughter lol. I wonder if there was a dispute between mother and father on names adn they decided on a comprimise that being all 25 of their favourites? MOst people only use their first and last names anyway but I feel sorry for her when she has to fill in her passport application or if she has children and their birth certificate(s) as well as her own come to think of it, I wonder if she will need extra pages?

She said that her whole family has a history of naming their kids really long names. I guess that a lot of the names are last names of their family. They look that way anyway!

I think it's not that bad, as long as she isn't required to memorize her complete name until the age of 12. XD I think it's not as bad as naming your kids Apple or Honey or Baby or Boy or Girlie or Sweet or Chocolate. What do you think? Although... if I think giving a child more than 2 names is bad enough, 25 names is worse. However, I'd still think this was a lesser evil. :D

LOL I actually really like the name Apple. I think it's cute. I agree though! Some people name their kids some weird names and you wonder what they were thinking.

To each there own, I guess, but why would you really want to do this. I cannot help but wonder which intial they will use on the birth cerificate or social security card if she needs one.

I think that's absolutely crazy. The girl will never be able to get her names straight, and there's no way all of those names will fit on a birth certificate or anywhere else. One or two middle names is enough, 25 is excessive!!!!

Oh what an awful thing to do! Tradition or no tradition, what were the parents thinking? Poor kid. I hope she does not have to fill out her full name on any paperwork. I also feel sorry for the person that had to type out her birth certificate. That is a long name to type. I prefer first name middle name and last name.

My dad has two middle names (only he and my grandfather are the ones in my family I can think of off hand who have more than one middle name). I have run into people who have three middle names. Of course there are some people who don't even do middle names, and I was always glad my family didn't do that... I even have a minor pet peeve when people write my initials as EG instead of EEG. I do like the idea of giving her a name that will be unique because it's hers and not likely to be ten other girls in her class's name when she gets older, however, I do think twenty-five is a bit much! There certainly won't be enough room for it on legal documents, applications, and other forms she'll have to fill out in later life, that's for sure! I would say the mother has the right to do that if she wants to, but in my view, she went a little overboard, to say the least. Not a dumb idea, but it doesn't sound like very much thought was put into it as to how it may effect the child's life.
