A long time ago I once hit over 105 miles per hour in a car I didn't think could even go that fast. I'm ashamed to admit now that I was racing late at night on a highway that had stop lights occasionally, so it wasn't even like an interstate or anything. A really crazy thing to do. But of course if I was the Governor here in my state I could have my state trooper driver drive me around on city streets at higher speeds than that and claim it was for security reasons. Oh, that is not just a maybe, the Governor has done it.

I used to race all the time when I first got my license. We would go out to the main streets in our city after 10pm and find people who wanted to race too. We would often get up to 120 mph on a regular street! It was really fun, but I regret doing it.
I could have really hurt someone. I could have hurt the people in my car. It's really addicting though. I don't race anymore. I do speed sometimes but usually one 5 or 10 over. On road trips I try not to speed too. I think some speed laws are really slow but that doesn't give me a right to go however fast I want.

I used to race at Flat Rock Speedwauy in Michigan many years ago. Street Stocks. I had a 1966 Mercury Montery. I had been clocked at 121 MPH. I got injured at a young age and stopped racing. I did exhibtions for a couple years. Wheelie competition etc.
HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
