Me, i will just ignore him/her. Usually, i don't want to involve in that difficult situations..what if that guy/girl has a gun or something deadly..i will regret it for the rest of my life.

If the store had security guards then I would notify them and let them do their jobs. All stores here have the detectors that will go off if you steal something so most people don't try. If there is no security I would notify a worker so they can take necessary action. :)

I would probably tell someone that works there. It's not right for someone to be stealing. I wouldn't say something to ther person that is stealing, that would just be stupid. But I would make sure to walk away and let someone know. I haven't run into this situation yet, so I'm really glad but my husband sees it all the time at the place he manages. They have people that dress normally that work there and are there for the purpose of catching shoplifters. They do a really great job and catch tons of people. They can be pretty brutual too!

I would find the nearest associate and tell them. It wouldn't matter though because I know in a lot of stores the policy on shoplifting is very strict. Unless a manager or a higher up sees it with his/her own eye, most likely the person won't get in trouble.
