My laptop broke a while back now, but I always plugged the mouse into it as using the finger-pad was not so accurate. I didn't like using it too much because I found the keys were so small to type on and I much preferred the larger keyboard in my desktop. :-)

I didn't use my first computer until I was 'middle aged.' The computer that I first used was a desktop model and had a mouse. I suppose, because that is what I learned to use, I have a hard time not using a mouse. My current computer is a laptop, but I was so very slow (the kids said I would get faster, but I never did) in using the mouse pad, that I finally caved in and bought a wireless mouse. I suppose the old saying, "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is true! Ha!

I use a mouse. I have tried using my finger and it is just too slow for me. It is too much effort. The mouse goes fast!

I choose to use a mouse for I think it is more convenient and I am used to it. I feel comfortable with a mouse, especially when I play games. It works faster.

I prefer desktops big time. They're cheaper, faster, easier to repair and upgrade, more comfortable....but laptops are portable and desktops are not. That's why both must exist. I personally prefer desktops big time unless i really need my computer to be portable for some reason.
