I admit there are times I dont want to go to work but I still go because I know my responsibility as an employee. I have lots of assigned task in the office that I need to do and finish in deadlines so I just motivate myself to be at my best most of the time. How about you?

I think most of us get days when we just don't feel like going to work/school. I think it is the way the mind works - everything gives way to its opposite. Working with clients who have appointments to see me as set times, I don't really have any choice, so if I don't feel like it, I just notice how I feel and once I get into it, I'm OK then. One thing I am fortunate about is that I do enjoy my work :-)

I just call the office and say that I am taking the day off because I have things to attend to personally. Its part of our cycle that there are just days that we just want to laze around and rest.

If something important that I have to attend personally then I will also call to my supervisor to get an advise of not attending work due to that reason. Thanks for sharing. God bless you! d=)

If i don't feel like working or if i am lazy to do work or if the whether is not suitable for work, I create an excuse not to work. I know it is bad but some times it happens.

NO, i have to go work to provide for the family financially. There are times when i don't feel like going to work when i have lack of sleep, so obviously i just sleep for a half a day when i don't go to work.

I usuall suck it up and go into work. When I was working I had a lot of deadlines too and there was no one who would step up and do my work. If I would take a day off I would have to still do the work I missed on that day plus. I am so glad that I do not work any more. Even when I would take a vacation I would still get calls asking me questions about my job so I my as well stayed at work because how can you enjoy your vacation with your boss or even other employees calling you.

I am not loyal to companies anymore. I have given more than my fair share, and got scrap back. My husband works, and that is good enough. I take care of everything else around the home, bills, etc. when I want to sleep, I just sleep. I don't need the extra stress an employer can create out of nothing. However, I was a darn good worker when I did work a paying job. I have yet for an employer to complain.

Hello kyuts. I'm not a student nor working outside. I basically work on my own having my little office right here at the comfort of my home. This works well on me as i can have a closer look at my little ones. In as much as I like to slack off for a few days, still, I can't afford to do so. I don't have that luxury anymore. What you're feeling is quite normal and we all have one of those days when we don't feel like doing anything. That's life, LOL!

there are instances that you really feel like not going to work because you were not in the mood, or it seems you're not feeling well, or perhaps you have other priorities on that particular day. personally, when things like this happens, i ask my immediate superior to spare me for a day because i had more important agenda to attend to and just would have to make up next time around. anyway, this feeling of losing interest in my work do happen once in a blue moon, so it's not actually a big issue to deal with. i still strive to work harder and perform my responsibilities as expected of me being an employee of the company.

No matter how much I dislike, I have to go to work anyway. I have to take my responsibility for my work and family. I have to remember why I am working everyday. That's for my family. So I am unable to give it up even if I hate it.

there are times when i don't feel like going to work too. i'd have to practically force myself to get out of bed and get ready to work. sometimes in the morning i'm so lazy to go to work and wish i could take time off. sometimes i wish i don't have to go to work at all, and that i wanna spend my whole life travelling and doing things i like:P ..but sigh, i need money and i need a job..when i'm bored at work i will usually talk to my colleagues for a bit, surf the net, chat on YM and listen to music..

Same here even if I feel lazy and don't want to go. It is my duty to finish my task. The deadline always counts.

I get up and go knowing that once I am there it will be ok. The people are great and the job is not hard really hard and so I think about the pay and the coming paycheck. Also will tend to buy a pop or even a snack from the machine if I need a pick me up kind of treat. That is how I handle those times when I think 'man, this is too much, too hot, etc' Good luck with handling these kinds of times.

Boy do I ever have days like that. Sometimes it is so hard for me to get moving, it truly amazes me that I have some how talked myself into getting up and getting ready for the day. Most days though I eat a good breakfast, exercise a little by going out for a walk in the cool morning hours, and that is generally enough to get me going and ready for the day.

hmm i 'm having one of those days right now. it's raining, and when it rains i'd rather be home than anywhere else. i also have this really nagging cough and fever...thinking about going on duty at the hospital tomorrow is not really that invigorating. but i know i have to last the day. after all its only going to be for 8 hours right?hahah! i really need to get motivated. i also need to get out more! i feel like its home, school, the hospital, homes, blahblahblah...i wanna cry!

I admit i always feel like that i don't want to go to work or classes. I always start my work every day at 6 in that morning and it's very tiring to wake up very early, take a bath, cook your food, and everything. I sometimes want to quit my job but i also feel that i can't. I also studies at night.
