Who says I want to get married??? Veni Vidi Vici as the Romans say (Been There-Done That-Have the T-shirt to Prove IT! - in the current venacular) I definitely don't need a marriage to complete and formalize a desire to be with someone. Marriage is a man-made (actually governmental-made) institution to facilitate control over the populous. Feminist sometimes make the partially false claim that marriage is a way for men to control women, which it partly is, but the same is true about women controlling men through the institution of marriage. Kings, Queens, Popes, and various other RULERS implemented the institution of marriage, generally through the auspices of a religion to exert greater control over their subjects.

Some people marry for love. Some marry for secuirty. Some marry for money. Others marry so they can stay in this country legally. Whatever your choice for marrying, remember one thing: It's your choice. No one says you have to get married. Millions of people in America live together without marriage. It's just a piece of paper that legally binds you to someone else. It's up to what you want, not what is considered the 'norm.'
