hearts and souls bared...

is there a person in your life you have been completely honest with... as in no secrets, not even the smallest of lies? who's that person who knows you inside and out? the real you that sometimes you have kept hidden... as much as i have bared my feelings, my thoughts, the happenings in my life... there have been little details in my life that i've kept from my family, from my friends and from my boyfriend. sometimes, i'd pretend that everything's fine when it isn't. sometimes, i'd admit that i feel bad... when actually i feel worse than bad. do you sometimes keep something to yourself? like a deeper pain that you don't want to share?

Yes, there is lots of such things that I have kept to myself. There is no person who knows me more than myself. The only one who knows me more than myself is God. There are many things I have kept hidden in my heart, and I can't share it with anyone as it will cause pain to my loved ones.

i think in one aspect we are very much alike... sparing our loved ones pain as much as possible. :)

i don't think there could be anyone really to whom we can bare all of our heart and soul..but there are some to whom we share much of this. we do not necessarily lie to them but we just keep away some things from them. i do keep somethings to myself only because you know you can't always share everything to your family, friends or your boyfriend.but it's nothing like a deeper pain which i keep away from my family especially my sisters i just tell them everything. they are very close to me and sharing a pain with them helps me take off my burden. but i don't do it unless i m sure in myself that i deeply understand my pain and that sharing is not going to give me extra pains...(i hope you don't have problem understanding what i m trying to say;))

i do understand. :) there are some pains that are even harder to share coz re-living it could bring you more pain rather than get unburdened. :)

well..i guess there are some things in life that we just cannot share with others, or rather, not quite ready to share with others. so it's ok i guess. we don't have to tell everyone everything, do we? as for myself, the person that i can really open up to is my bf. even though sometimes he might not be that understanding or says that i worry too much about petty things but after telling him my problems and stuff, i feel relieve.

yes, not everything is shared to everyone. most if not all. :) sometimes when we unload stuff, we seek not the understanding but just a lending ear. that, sometimes, bring us the relief. :)

Hi. I am really not too close to my family when it comes to sharing some personal things about my life and i feel more open with my friends. I have one friend in particular who i share everything with. Were roomates so it's hard to keep things from them. I keep a poker face around my family but honestly i couldn't tell you why. Maybe i am too proud to let them know that i am human after all. I also keep a journal and that keeps track of all my deep dark and juicy secrets! ;-)

in most cases, you actually have to live with a person to actually know a person... :) i'm close with my family, but like you, i also keep something from my family that sometimes only closest friends would know. and yes, keeping a journal helps... if you can't tell about it... then you can at least write about it. :)

yes, there is one person in my life to whom i confide in everything and anything on earth without any pretense or inhibition. he is my pal since childhood, since previous life, i guess. he has been there through thick and thin and has been a stark critic of my dispositions and doings. still, i have to let go to him. i gues, he knows more of me than i do myself. really, i mean it. he goes unnoticed, unappreciated but through this discussion i would like to thank him for everything he is. thank you friend.

it must be a great relief to have a friend like that... like an anchor to keep you balanced... like a shadow who's always there but unnoticed... wow, i appreciate the fact that you do appreciate him. :)

Nope. There are some I'll tell more then others. But not one person knows it all. I would suspect my parents know most of my life since they have lived it. But as an adult I can't say that I'm completely honest with them. I would have to say I keep most of it all to myself. Not very healthy I suspect.

My best friend is the only one that knows everything about me (maybe not entirely everything, but most things more than anyone else I know). There are a few things that I have kept from anyone and only God knows, and I would rather keep it that way. There are some things that are never meant to be told LOL

hmmnn... little secrets... almost everybody has that. :) in my case, i'd rather keep it that way too. my life is an open book, but the chapters that have ended... i prefer to remain closed. :)

I think there is something about all of us that we tend to keep to ourselves. It is something that is mine, that belongs to me. I don't pretend to be someone I am not, but I do keep little things to myself. May they be thoughts/ideas/feelings, whatever the case may be. I think it's only natural and human to keep a little piece of ourselves for ourselves.

My younger sister is my also best friend. She is only one year and half younger than me. When we were young, we went to the same school. We used to play and do everything together. Until now, we both have married and lived in difference places, but we still keep in touch very closely. She is always the first person to talk to; to be trust and help me out when I am in difficulties. I don’t have any things can be hidden from her.

that is wonderful to have a sister who's you bestfriend at the same time. i also have 4 sisters, two of them are closest and my bestfriends too. one is 6 years older, the other is 8 years older than i am. the other two sisters are like 13 and 15 years older, although i'm close to them... i think not as much as the younger ones. :)
