Roy Orbison was truely a wonderful singer This amazingly talented singer handled each song that he sang
with the greatest of ease.Who could forget "Lana" which he wrote and sang for his wife."Pretty Woman was
another, later used as the title song for the movie
"Pretty Woman" starring Julia Roberts.My all time favorite Roy Orbison song is "Blue Bayou" a fascinating rendition of a number I am certain no other singer could handle.I read in an Elvis Presley
biography, that Elvis himself was an ardent fan of Roy, he was quoted as saying Roy has the finest voice that he has ever heard and that he would give anything to be able to sing like Roy.Coming from the King, thats praise indeed

I was one of Roy Orbison's greatest fans when I was younger, and despite my taste in music having changed over the years I still enjoy his music. I never considered Pretty Woman to be one of his best records, although it was certainly one of his most popular due to being a commercial type of recording.
I much preferred the slower beat ballads like Only the Lonely or In Dreams.
He did make a film many years ago entitled The Fastest Guitar Alive, but it never real became popular and many of his fans were completely unaware of it.
