Did anyone else see this story? http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20070627/hl_afp/ushealthautism They tested Zacky when he was around 3 years old and didn't find that Fragile X was the problem, but it would be nice if they found a way to help some of the kids that have been diagnosed. This is an interesting article. I also think that it would be great if they could find a way to help these kids.

My husband asked me how they knew that the mice had Autism. lol I guess he is used to seeing how Zacky's acts and some of the things he does and wanted to know how they could tell by looking at them. lol I told him they knew from DNA checks. We had been told that there are still a lot of markers that they don't know how to check for yet, but Zacky had been checked for Fragile X and they didn't find it. His Autism could still be a recessive gene that they just don't know how to check for yet. Amazing how far we have come medically even though there is still so much unknown.
