Minneapolis man arrested after kids are found in car trunk Temperatures outside felt like they were in the low 90s and high 80s when a young boy and girl were riding in a Minneapolis man's car trunk Tuesday evening. By Chao Xiong, Star Tribune Last update: June 27, 2007 – 12:26 PM Now here's another news story from my area about one more IDIOTIC father that can't think straight for a second. This is such a stupid act. read it and let me know if you've ever done this as a child or an adult. And why did you do it? Could you do this for your own kids? Unreal. http://www.startribune.com/462/story/1271777.html HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Isn't it amazing what people will do? How scary. He's lucky the children didn't get heatstroke. Wasn't there just a story a few years back about some children who went missing, and they were found in a car trunk on their own property? You'd think people would know better. When I was a kid we got to climb around the back seats of the cars, we didn't wear a seatbelt, we jumped around, we were crazy. My family still wouldn't let us ride in the trunk. Yes, we asked numerous times. What do you think of people who let others ride in the bed of their trucks? I can see it being okay on a farm or something like that. In my town we see people doing it all the time, and surprisingly, it isn't illegal. It seems very dangerous to me.

I recall hearing that story of the bosdies found in a trunk in some farm field I think. I can't see nor would ever think of letting anyone ride in a trunk. Now the trunk, like you said, maybe in a farm field, private property. But not in the streets or someone elses land. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

NO, I don't even recommend riding in the bed of a truck. Way too dangerous! There was a kid from my high school that broke his neck from sitting in the back of the truck. The driver slammed on the brakes, and he flew up and out. Nope, I shiver when my kids ask to ride in the back.

Idiotic is a kind word for this father - I just can't believe the stupidity of some people, so what if the kids wanted to do it, that's why kids are kids and parents are supposed to be the ones with the brians to know right from wrong.

I can hear him now. Dad can I ride in the trunk please? Pretty please? I'll be good I promise. Sure son. Sit in that enclosed locked stuffy trunk where there's no air when it's 120 degrees inside. You'll be fine. What an idiotic foolish father.

Yea he's probably the same father that will think it's cool to share a joint with his 13 year old, think it's funny when his 16 year becomes a mother or father, and a proud poppa when his first gets thrown in jail.... IDIOT is right.

That is absolutely absurd...is never ceases to amaze me just how ignorant people can be...I can not think of a single reason that I would allow a child/adult/pet ride in the back truck of a vehicle... If I was that man's mother...I would bimp him on the back of his head....at the very least....

This stories hurt me very much. I cant imagine how could a father can do this to his own children? Are they father or monster? I think they should be punished in such a way thet they cant afford even think of this act anymore, may be those child celebrated the fathers day too!!!!

The kids asked and he allowed them is the kicker in this whole story. It's not like he forced them. But still..... HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Humm, I got a message that the page had been removed when I tried the link. But I cant figure out why the kids would've been in the trunk in the first place? Yeah, my niece has asked to ride in there but I would never let her. Gees, some people truly should'nt breed.

There was a post on here a while back about 2 boys playing in the truck of a car and dying from the heat. I have never let any of my kids do this and don't know of anybody who does. As a kid, we weren't allowed to play in the car. I think vehicles should be off limits to kids and the parents need to enforce it. When you come up against a person who has done this, what recourse do you have? It is plain stupidity.

unbelievable..they just found two kids who got locked in an older car not too long ago..too late though :( we never had any cars that had trunks you could do that in (not that i'd want to crawl in it).i don't understand parents like that at all.

That's just incredible how some parents are so amazingly brainless.. How can they expect their children to grow up to be wise when they make idiotic decisions like that? Children have an unimaginable imagination.. They can think of all sorts of things and the parents can't just live in that world with them. I am appalled at what the father did. It's as the saying goes, the blind leading the blind. Even the blind have a better sense of direction of where they're going compared to the indescribably idiotic jerkazoid of a father. hmph!

I can comment on the first story but not the second story because it would not come up. The stupid guy for putting his kids in the trunk why would he do such an stupid thing? Did the kids do something wrong? I know how it is to have kids who do not what to behave in the car and I have threatened to tie them to the roof rack, or leave them on the side of the road, but I would never do that. It takes all kinds. I hope he had to be locked in a trunk of a car in the heat to see what it feels like.
