I think that Republicans and Democrats aren't that disimilar these days. There's a vast gray demographic that shares all sort of values.
I think that people just want to belong to part of a team more than express their personal political beliefs; especially when economic decisions outweigh political ones.
What do you think? Could you date a republican?

Of course, they are either that to begin with or they get converted into one. I am a republican and I am conservative, but I don't believe there should only be 2 parties, I wish there were a ton and none had the most power.
PS I'm also dating a democrat but we agree on more than we disagree on.

See, that's what I've noticed. As long as the jigsaw puzzle fits, everything is ok. I don't know if I could date someone was of an extremely different religion. That might get hectic. And by that I mean, everything would be ok until the issue of commitment came up and I'd have to say "Nope, I'm sticking with what I believe in."

HA! Very funny! I agree, I can over-look politics if the girl is fine. I might even go on a date with a republican lingerie model. She'd probably rant about supply-side economics and other republican ideas. Sigh. I feel shallow now.
