I rarely bake dessert, but if I do I'll bake cookies or brownies. I rarely make them from scratch though, instead I usually use boxed packages. I also love buying the cinnamon rolls which I also bake in the oven. Do you ever bake dessert? Is it from scratch? What's your favorite to bake?

Gosh....reading your post really bringing back all those sweet and loving memories of my beloved mom. She loved making cookies and cakes......and baked them. Shes really good !!! I can't tell which one is my favorite since all of them were delicious and mouth watering. And my mom sometimes got mad at us (the chidren) since we always try to have lotsa bite on them while she was trying to safe it for after dinner. Took her hours to make and bake them and took us 5 minutes to eat 'em all....hehehe.... Thank you for bringing up this post as it reminds me of my beloved mom !!!

I love cakes and I love dark chocolate, so if I am going to bake something, it woudl be a cake *smiles*. Here is my favourite: SUPREME DARK CHOCOLATE CAKE Ingredients 150g dark chocolate (around 55% cocoa will do)* 80g butter 3 eggs 30g sugar Steps 1. Melt butter and chocolate in a bowl over simmering water. Leave in to cool. 2. Separate the egg yolks from the egg white. Add egg yolks in the melt chocolate mixture and mix well. 3.In a separate bowl, beat egg whites and sugar together until foamy. Fold half of the egg white mixture into the chocolate mixture. Stir gently. Fold in the rest of the egg white mixture. 4. Spoon into greased cake tin. Bake at 180oC for 25-30 minutes. Serve. (sources: http://www.beauty-tricks.com/beautyforum/viewtopic.php?t=17)

I pretty much never bake desserts from scratch, because I don't really know how! :) But I do like to make the box mixes. Yesterday, I made a box of very plain brownies, but we threw in some chocolate chips to make them more interesting. They are very tasty! :)

I love to bake, very often. I make cakes, cookies, brownies, pies, blondies, turnovers, even dog treats. I make them from scratch. Baking is my relaxing, fun project time.

Desserts are completely my forte. I can do anything. I don't do too much from scratch because frankly I'm just to darn lazy. But there are a few things that I like to do from scratch. I don't know what my "favorite" thing to bake is... but I love love love White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies, so we'll go with that as my favorite. I also make those completely from scratch!
