When I was a baby,I went thru six tornados when riding from one state to another. So,as a child I was afraid of thunderstorms. As a mother I could not sho feer in front of mykids and I grew out of it.I don't like real windy storms and I don't like to drive in them, but I don't mind them too much now.How about you?

Funny we just had a heck of a storm a few minutes ago knocked out my internet. We have been getting really bad storms lately with lots of hail. I actually have always liked them. I am kinda of odd that way. I will actually sit there and watch I find it fascinating maybe because of the whole raw power of it. But my kids are all afraid of the storms. Tonight they laid in my bed and I carried them out after it was over.

We always get storms this time of year,I guess that's why I thought of this discussion. We had a bit of a storm here too.In my direct area,we got rain, thunder and a little wind.It did not knock and utilities out. But, sadly about 40- 50 miles from here a teenage girl was hit by lightening and killed. When I was a kid,my grandfather and uncle would sit on the screen porch on the metal....metal glider and watch the storms.DUH!

Now I don't go that far I have a nice plastic chair that sits on a wooden deck. If the lightening gets to close I am out of there lol. But I like watching them.
