Do you have a habit of having a walk after meals?

I think it is good habit that go out for a walk after meals,I like to do that...after meals,especially the supper....I will go out with my girlfriend and take a walk...because at that time...the weather is cool..and you feel better when you walk...I also think it is good for our health... Do you like having a walk after meals?

no, i don't have a habit of walking after meals because i am quiet busy and i take meals quite late in the evening.

In the weekdays, after lunch, me and my friends go for a short walk and it is very refreshing. Some people suggest that we should not walk immdiately after the meals, but after 45 minutes. Somehow, we always go as soon as our lunch is over. After dinner, I won't go out for walk, but small amount of exercise happens in the form of cleaning the kitchen and table, spreading the bed cover etc.

hehe.....yeah,maybe there are lots of housework to do for wife.but I think it is the best time to go out for a walk after supper.....thank you.

After supper? I thought one would normally head for the bed :P A slow walk is good after meals, however, studies have reported that one should not walk immediately after a meal. One should take a break of about 30 minutes before walking for the better of the body.

I dont usually do that after eating but there are times I walk around the street with my dog. There are some people say that walking after eating is good for our health but I dont know if its true.

walking any time is good for you but after supper here it is way to hot to walk most days at 6 it is 100 degrees

No, I have so many other things to do and so many of meals are at work (my employer would frown upon my going for a walk). I walk my dogs in the morning and at night, that is about as good as it gets.

Hi, tracy1985. Yeah, it's a good habit and good for our digestion. To be honet, I've seldom been the sponsor or initiator and it's started by my mother or my roommate most of times. Maybe I'm a little bit lazy after meals. ^_^ However, it's said that after meals, we'd better have a walk after a while rather than at once. Or it'll be bad for our stomach. Have a great day! :)

We have a saying here: If you walk after a meal, you can live until 99 years old. But I don't have this habit anyway. I prefer to stay at home.

We both like to walk after meal and it helps to digest the food easily, specially if the weather is nice outside, then I just love it. But sometime you know we cant do for raining or other essencial work at home and we really feel uncomfortable as we are very much use to it.

A walk after a meal is good to us for it helps our stomach digest and move the food in a better and easier way. I usually take a walk after that to make my stomach feel better and happier. But I hate to go for a walk in this hot weather.

no, but i wish i did! i do think it's a good habit, but i just started using my treadmill, i've had for like 1 yr. and a half, hopefully i can continue to do it!

me, my habit is standing for 30 minutes after every meal, i do sometimes walk, but i did not prefer. Well, i suppose it is one good attitude towards body metabolism, it easy to digest food when you are standing, and sometimes walking.
