They Want Attention

When a person comes on a Christian Board and says there is no God & Jesus they are doing 1 thing. They are in a very crud way seeking attention. That is it. We don't have to give it to them. If we don't go reply to that junk they will get bord and go away. Just stop replying to them.

I agree Knit.
They do want attention and I think they love to get good discussions all heated up. They need our prayers.
I always say that Satan always rears his ugly head when the Lord is being glorified. But God will always win!

You are right,There is no reasoning with these people anyway, So why even try.Maybe they are wanting help,they really need it..

Maybe those people are really crying out for help? There are people out there that are just being ugly but there could also be people out there that want to seek truth or information about God and just don't know how to ask, maybe testing the waters? Like a child when they look straight at a parent, pout with their little hands on their hips and yell "no" to whatever the parent just said? My boyfriend was raised very Christian however every now and then he'll pull the "how do you know there is a God when people suffer" and gets all pouty and fustrated and I have to put the mommy hat & voice on,(which for someone with no kids, I oddly enough find easy to do), sit him down and explain to him that everything happens for a reason and that sometimes bad things have to happen in order for change or something better to come along and that suffering can bring us closer to God if we let it.

LOL the mommy hat. I can just see it. I think that shows just how good of a Mommy you will be some day. If you think the people are crying out for help then do what ever you think God would have you to do. There are a few of these people that just insult us, I will stay away from their posts. I felt that it is what God would have me to do. Maybe you are stronger then me that way. But it just upsets me. Some of them are so insulting.

Thanks for that lovely comment, means a lot. As a matter of fact, I had to put the hat on yet again with him and explain again that everything is for a reason. I have no idea why he is so angry with God and I pray that he will be able to simply accept that somethings you don't get tangible proof of but you just know in your heart. He asked me well where exactly is god and I said, he's in the eyes of every child, the caring arms of every mother, in the tears of everyone who's hit rock bottom and in the praises of everyone who's made it back up.
I think you are right that some people just make the ugly posts in order to start trouble, get attention or make a penny on a post. And those yes should be ignored. I was more refering to those with broader questions like the one my boyfriend makes, that though are still pretty angry aren't insulting either.
