How do you get a stolen yahoo account back? HELP

i need your advice!
i can't log in anymore in my yahoo account! it says that my password is not correct! it seems someone stole my account!
i can't remember my information or the person who have stollen my account may have change it!
i sent an email to yahoo but i don't know if i would get any response...
what should i do?
i want my account back!!!!!

my friend experienced the same thing just a few weeks ago. her yahoo account was actually hacked and the hacker has been contacting the people from her contact list and asking for money from them. unfortunately, some of her contacts were actually scammed.
anyway, she email yahoo and told them what happened. i'm not sure how many days it took but they were able to reset her account. now, she has her yahoo account back.
