Does anyone have any clue how to do this? My credit went bad because I missed a mortgage payment....it was close to 700 and now riding 500....with just a missed payment...YIKES! I am looking to get it back up somehow....does anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Talk your mortgage company NOW and tell them what you're going to do to get the payment caught up. Make sure you do exactly what you say you're going to do? Once you catch the payment up, then ask your bank to send a note to the credit reporting agency saying you worked with them and caught it up ASAP. You will want that notation added to your credit report. You should request a copy of your credit report to make sure it's been done. Good luck!

Jolene- I would say continue to pay your bills on time now- I would think it would rebound back up on it’s own after a while- I’m not sure there is anything you can do for it- besides by paying all future bills on time. Are you looking to make a new purchase in the near future where this would stop you from getting credit? If not- I would continue to work on it-

I would guess try and put as much money into it that you can. I hate credit cards they can cause so much trouble.

The best way to raise your credit rating is to make sure all your bills are paid on time. So you missed a mortgage payment, long as you keep making the others on time and make that missed payment up, your credit will eventually rise back up again.
