I live in a shared student house, and we just had a new girl move in with us. On her first day, she made us all chocolate brownies, and they were sooo good! So I asked her for the recipe - and now I'll share it with you! You will need: * 200g dark chocolate * 125g butter (at room temperature) * 225g caster sugar * 2 eggs * 1 egg yolk * 150g plain flour * a pinch of salt * 1tsp baking powder What you need to do: * preheat the oven to 180 degrees C or gas mark 6 * melt the chocolate (I usually do this by putting the bowl of chocolate into a bowl of boiling water - using a saucepan tends to burn it) * mix together the butter and sugar, then mix in the eggs. * Stir the melted chocolate into the mixture * Add the flour, salt and baking powder, and mix thoroughly * Pour the mixture into a baking tray that has been lined with foil * bake for 20-25 minutes - when ready, the middle of the brownies should be gooey, not spongy like a cake. And that's how you make fantastic chocolate brownies! if you like coffee-chocolate brownies, you can mix in a couple of teaspoons of instant coffee to give it a bit of a kick! :o)

I just got this recipe from a carry-in recently: Orange Smokies 1 package of Lil' Smokies 1 c. brown sugar 1 T. flour 1 T. mustard (try flavored or dijon varieties. plain yellow isn't as good) 1 T. vinegar (cider vinegar works very well) ΒΌ c. orange juice concentrate (do not dilute) Mix together all but smokies until blended. Add smokies and sauce to crock pot and cook on high 1 hr, or low 2 hrs.
