Hi dfollin, You do not need knowledge of RSS,XML or ATOM to start a blog. These are just the various "feed" formats that blog readers can subscribe to inorder to gain access to latest entries in a blog without having to visit it. A typical "feed" url would look like this : http://www.(blogname).wordpress.com/feed/ (for wordpress.com bloggers). You can go to the various "Help" centers in the blogging platforms for further answers. A viewing url is the address you enter in a browser to go to a particular site e.g www.myLot.com. You cannot start a blog at myLot as it does not have blog hosting capabilities. When you are ask to enter "feed" url, myLot is actually asking you to submit your blogs that you have hosted somewhere else and allow myLot users to subscribe to them. Hope the info helps. Regards.
