What was your favourite book when you were a child? Mine was Heidi. It was such a simple innocent book. I read it amny many times, enjoying it just as much each time. I could imagine the mountains, and see Heidi and Peter and Clara in my mind as I would read it. I bought a copy of it again recently and enjoyed it just as much as I had when I was a child. I was hoping my 7 year old daughgter would enjoy it too but unfortunately she's more interested in her Bratz!

It was the Big Book of Poetry. I loved it so much that I held on to it and saved it for my own kids and I have it packed away somewhere. I hope I can pass it down to my granchildren and read them 'The Owl and the Pussycat', my favorite poem from this book.

It would be a toss up of The Black Stallion by Walter Farley and Lassie Come Home. The Black Stallion series has 21 books. Walter Farley's son, Steven, has writen The Young Black Stallion series and there are 7 books I believe in that.

My all-time favorite was "Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs." My son has a copy now, and I still love to read it. Others were Brighty of the Grand Canyon, Island of the Blue Dolphin? (I think that's the name; it was about a girl in the Aluetian Islands), and Jacob Have I Loved. I also still collect any of the Laura Ingalls Wilder books.
