Scary situation for a mother

I am watching Dr. Phil and there is a mother with triplets, six year olds, who are deaf and blind, still wearing diapers, and dealing with the children alone (husband left her). I can't imagine triplets muchless triplets that are almost impossible to deal with because you cannot communicate with them. That also makes me feel blessed to have one healthy two year old son.

Wow, that would be such a difficult situation to be in. And to do it alone with no partner makes it even harder. It certainly makes you feel gratefull for what you have.

awwww...bless this mother...and bless the children...This is such a sad situation..What did Dr. Phil suggest?...These stories just rip your heart out....I do thank God every day for my life and the healthy lives of my children and grandchildren...We don't know how good we really have it..being healthy...My prayers are with her and Dr. Phil being able to help her...

He did bring another woman on the show who is completely blind and how she's living life. He is also talking to her newer husband who wants to get out of the situation now too and help with the rage. This other blind lady is very confident about her life and wrote a book and is a public speaker.

This is truly a tough situation, but I know Dr. Phil won't give up...that is so wonderful about the woman and all her accomplishments...I sure hope the man can get the help he needs to cope also...thank you for the update...

Wow, this would be a scary situation. Triplets would be tough enough to handle. Add in either the deafness or the blindness would make things even more difficult. I can't even imagine having to care for one child with these problems, much less doing it alone.

Yeah, I agree. I could not handle normal triplets. One two year old son is enough for me. To add such complications is amazing. These triplets are the only ones in the world with this.

Oh what an awful situation to be in.It must be incredably hard to take care of such high needs children all on your own. Did she have family or a support network that she could get help from?

There was a grandma in the picture and a different father figure, but he was getting frustrated too. I don't know about supporters outside of the home, except Dr. Phil

Wow that must be so hard for her!! I could not imagine what it would be like for her, I have an 8 month old daughter without any major problems and that is hard enough, I think that I would have gone mad in this ladies shoes!!! I wonder if they can do the coclear (SP?) implants on these kids to help them to hear?!

I don't know if there's anything they were going to try to do for the children but it is definitely a disheartening situation!

It is really sad to hear this. How does she manage without support from her husband? Hope she gets all the courage and also the finance to support her children. God bless her and her children.
