If your dog loves swimming here is something you need to be aware of...... Blue Green Algae Poisoning: Rivers and ponds covered in a Blue/Green or Green paint like scum, it can, in certain conditions produce a 'bloom' in hot weather which may produce some types of toxins that can be irritants, or even lethally poisonous. Dogs have died as a direct result of Blue Green Algae Poisoning. So please all you dog owners take care when allowing your dog to swim in streams and rivers.
