Punishment for dead beat dads that won't pay child support?

Do you think a man should have his delinquent dad status put on his credit report? Isn't child support a debt, just like any regular bill? So, if a man defaults on his child support payments, shouldn't that go onto his credit report so that other potential creditors will know that he's not trustworthy and won't pay his obligations? What do you think about this?

I think you are onto something good here. Child support is considered a bill to dads. But I think child support should be the most important bill a dad has. If student loans and credit cards can go on your credit report why not child support? This is a really good idea.

I think that is a wonderful idea...think it would wake a few of them up alittle...while others would not care...

I think that's a great idea! You are right about letting creditors know that they are no good about thier payments. It's usually out of spite rather then not having the money. But still, perhaps that's something that will encourage people (not just dads) to pay their child support. You should go with that. I'll sign the petition.

Sure , if a parent does not pay child support their name should be posted daily in the counties newspaper and posted online as well. They should have to take full responsibilty for their actions. Let all their friends, family and co-workers know what a deadbeat they really are!
