the teacher plans and support the activities that allow to do those things one naturally does with literature.this role includes planning themes, helping students activate the appropriate prior knowledge, and supporting students in reading and responding to literature in appropriate ways.In some instances the teacher plans and teaches mini-lessons using the literature as a model for helping students learn a needed strategy or skills. As a mentor, the teacher serves as a model for reading and writing.By reading students, the teacher models language for them.through shared writing, the teacher model all aspects of writing, grammar.usage, and spelling.By supporting students with such activities as shared reading, literature discussion circles, and response activities and the teacher plays the role also of coach.

The main role of a teacher is to teach and make their students to be a better person, not to embarass them or get inside the students' personal lives.

yeah..you are right it is not included in the role of the teacher to embarass their students and get involve in the students live..but you can ask help or they can help for student needs an advice but not to embarass..because the teacher is stand also as asecond mother in our life..yes the teacher role only to teach and make their students better person.but sometimes teacher can be involve with this things because they want to know what is the main reason of why the students can concentrate inside the class or make trouble inside the campus.sometimes there is a behind reason of it,in getting involve the students personal live as i said teacher wants and do their best to be the students a better persons.but they did it in a nice way not to embarass the students.

Teacher's role is simply to guide learning and be part of the total development of the child. Teacher acts as model and he/she should help mold the child to be the best person he can be.

thank you for posting.......yeah that is true, and to prepare our students for the world in which they live.the students have changed, the world was has changed, but the goal is still the same.many students have difficulty thinking, they are surrounded by passive learning situations,(TV,video games, calculator, computers, digital watches, velcro, ect.),and while I believe the technology is terrific its use should be preceded by basic knowledge.this makes the teachers'job interesting, challenging students to think and to learn fundamentals.education needs to be interesting, dynamic, and related to life.every topic should be connected to a real world use.we should encourage students to look for those connections to make education meaningful fo them.

I feel the role of teacher is to act as a role model, mentor, who guides the students and helps to groom them to become good responsible and concerned citizens in future. Teacher should teach in a manner that lessons are understood by everyone in the class and should have lot of patience in dealing with problems of students.
